Dr. Myron Wentz founded the company in 1992.  Without a doubt Wentz is the “right man” for the job.  He’s an internationally recognized microbiologist, immunologist and pioneer in the development of human cell culture technology and infectious disease diagnoses. He studied at North Central College in Illinois where he obtained his bachelor’s in biology.  From there he attended the University of North Dakota and mastered in microbiology.  Finally, he ended his studies after receiving a Ph.D. from the University of Utah in microbiology and immunology.  He is a decorated figure among the medical community.  In 2007 he was honored with the Albert Einstein Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Life Sciences.  The rest of the corporate team consists of skilled and accomplished leaders in the business world as well as the medical community.  130 of their distributors are members of the company’s Million Dollar Club.  They operate in over 14 countries and have been featured in several magazines over the last decade.  In addition, they’ve been given numerous awards for maintaining high standards in the health field.  Need I say more?…

Usana Review – Product

Usana health science originally began as skin care and weight management products.  Over time they’ve expanded to high-quality vitamins, antioxidants, minerals, health drinks, meal replacements, energy & weight control snacks and products to cleanse & replenish both skin and hair. There is a tremendous amount of science behind all their products.  They also offer a home-based marketing strategy for all distributors.  As in any company there are pros and cons.  A huge pro in Usana is their quality products and feeling of stability.  A con would be the fact they are an older company.  It takes much more work to sponsor others into an older company versus the newer ones offering the “latest & greatest” thing.

Usana Review – Comp Plan

One option to earn money with Usana is to purchase the products at wholesale costs and distribute them at retail prices.  Another option, the more lucrative one, will earn you huge sum of cash for recruiting more people onto your team. You will also be benefited from your team’s sales so, it behooves you to recruit as many people as possible. The basic Usana compensation plan is executed by downlines which is very similar to the way other MLM companies operate. When your downlines reach specific levels (determined on the volume of products sold) you will be compensated for their efforts.

Usana Review – Conclustion

With the Usana team, you will be in the hands of experts and scientists who know how to keep their products on the cutting edge of nutritional research.  However, if you’re looking at an opportunity for yourself, the product isn’t all that matters.  Even though the nutritional industry is nearing a trillion dollars, it’s been done to death.  People have been pitched so many times that they’ve become a bit resistant to listening to yet another person tell them “THEIR product is better because…”

Don’t misunderstand, Usana is rock solid and backed by proven science but it’s still just another vitamin company.  Now this doesn’t mean there isn’t money to be made it’s just an objection that needs to be overcome.  This can be done through good exposure.  You need to expose yourself, the product and have a good lead base. If you’re unable to generate an endless flow leads, then there is no way you will be able to build a business. It’s critical you learn how to become a professional marketer in order to succeed.  The great thing about how I build my business is that it works in any company.
